Students of department of textile of Tartu Art College (TAC) are participating in joint exhibition Campus taking place during the international Heimtextil textile fair held in Frankfurt January 8-12, 2018. The aim of the exhibition is to bring together leading European higher education institutions teaching textile design.

This year the common theme for Campus, under which every participating school sets up their exposition, is Meeting-Sharing-Places. TAC students of department of textile chose to elaborate on themes central to their graduation works and focused on different outputs. Keyword Connections refers to interaction between young designers during their studies as well as to sharing their experience and gaining new contacts at the fair.

In the Campus area, joint events and workshops are organized for the students - these allow them to get an idea of design objectives of different schools and an opportunity to make contacts for international cooperation. Institutions participating in the Campus project belong to a network of cooperation of design schools.Participating at the fair is an opportunity to introduce the visitors Estonian design students and textile design education in Tartu.

In 2018, 16 higher education institutions from the Czech Republic, Finland, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Switzerland, Slovenia, China and Estonia participate in the project.

TAC takes part in Campus for the second time, exhibiting their works and portfolios are Getter Tamme, Juula Pärdi, Mari Hinn, Merje Niinepuu, Marta Tuulberg and Anita Trink - fourth year students of department of textile. Project managers are Aet Ollisaar and Mari Kõrgesaar. Heimtextil is the biggest international interior textile fair, with 2963 participants from 69 countries and 70 000 visitors from 137 countries last year. Students’ Campus area has been a part of the fair since 2007.

TAC exhibition can be found in hall 4.2 stant P60.
